Waste Heat Recovery Boilers

Waste Heat Recovery Boilers (WHRB)

SITSON Waste Heat Recovery Boilers are engineered to capture thermal energy from industrial exhaust gases (such as from sponge iron kilns, DG sets, gas turbines, and cement kilns). By converting this waste heat into high-pressure steam, WHRB systems provide process heating or generate zero-fuel electricity via steam turbines, significantly improving plant energy efficiency.

Design Features

Single Drum Construction

Reduced thermal stress during start-up & shutdown. Incorporates specialized drum internals that promote water circulation and ensure high steam purity.

Fast Startup & Shutdown

Optimized design elements allow rapid thermal response, reducing wait times during commissioning or plant shut downs.

Fully Welded Construction

Quicker start-ups and shutdowns with welds safely located outside the gas path. This ensures higher reliability and a longer boiler lifespan.

Membrane Wall Construction

Guarantees tight sealing, preventing gas bypass and minimizing external leakages for safe, high-performance operation.

Steaming Economiser Compatibility

Suitable for steaming conditions in the economizer for better off-design operations. Fully drainable superheaters for reliability.

BTG Integration

Boiler-Turbine-Generator (BTG) complete packages are available and can be custom engineered on a case-by-case basis.
